What is oohula?
oohula is a language coach you practise with by conversing. Instead of fixed lessons, it talks with you at your level, gives feedback in the moment, and remembers your patterns so each session builds on the last.
Which languages can I learn?
At launch: English (US or UK), German, Italian, French, Spanish (Spain or Latin America), and Portuguese (Portugal or Brazil). More languages are on the way. You can learn several at once, each with its own progress.
Do I need to create an account?
No. oohula starts anonymously the first time you open it — no email, no sign-up. Your progress is saved automatically. You can later link Sign in with Apple, Google, or an email link to sync across devices, but it's entirely optional.
Is my data private? How is my voice handled?
Your pronunciation audio is analysed on your phone and then discarded — only the structured result is sent for coaching, never the recording. Analytics are anonymous, and you can export or delete everything from the app. See the privacy & data policy for the full picture.
How does pronunciation feedback work?
You say a phrase out loud. oohula compares the sounds you made to the target right on your device and coaches you on what to adjust. The recording isn't stored or played back — only the analysis is used.
Does oohula work offline?
Live coaching needs a connection, since the coach runs in the cloud. But you can browse your saved concepts, vocabulary, and progress any time.
Is it for beginners or advanced learners?
Both. oohula adapts to your level automatically — more support and your own language early on, more nuance and idiom as you progress. You won't be quizzed on a level; you'll just see what you can now do.
Does it work on iPad?
Yes — oohula runs on both iPhone and iPad.
What's it like to learn with oohula?
It feels like talking with a patient friend who's also a brilliant coach. You speak, oohula helps you find the words and shape your pronunciation, and everything you learn is kept in a workspace that's yours — so every session brings you closer to speaking with ease.
How do I manage or cancel a subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through Apple. On your device, open Settings → your name → Subscriptions, choose oohula, and change or cancel there. Changes take effect at the end of the current billing period.
How do I delete my account and data?
In the app, go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. Your profile, language tracks, vocabulary, sessions, and memory are permanently erased. This can't be undone.
