- Usage
- When used as a noun referring to the language, it is always masculine singular: 'el francés'. As an adjective it agrees in gender and number with the noun it modifies.
In Spanish, nationalities and languages are NOT capitalised, unlike in English — so 'francés', not 'Francés'.
